Natural Explorer

campers study soil samplesNatural Explorer is a fun-filled week of outdoor discovery and challenge. While hiking, boating, swimming and exploring, campers will deepen their appreciation for the natural world while building confidence in their outdoor skills. Using our water quality testing equipment, Explorers monitor the Lake Christopher watershed daily, personally adding their results to state and national databases.  Participants will also have a chance to become certified in our Maine State Boating Safety course. Team-building, gardening, forest and pond discoveries, creativity and the arts in nature, the ropes course, and the weekly campfire round out the program.

In cooperation with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
