Maine Woodcraft

happy campers pose for the cameraReady for a longer, more challenging camp experience? The Maine Woodscraft Program is an exciting two-week outdoor skills and leadership course which is excellent preparation for Junior Maine Guide training.

Maine Woodscraft starts with several days camping along the shores of Lake Christopher, improving campcraft skills and bonding as a group. Over the weekend, the group plans meals and equipment for a four day canoe/backpack expedition. Soon, the group waves goodbye to camp at Bryant Pond and embarks on their expedition, putting their skills to the test. The tired, but triumphant woodsmen and women arrive home to Bryant Pond in time for Thursday night campfire, and a well-deserved ice cream party to celebrate their accomplishments.
