Program: examples of volunteer activities
Habitat Stewards
choose volunteer activities that match their interests. Examples of
volunteer activities include

a service project with a non-profit
organization to improve habitat or provide habitat education;

coaching homeowners who want to create
or improve wildlife habitat in their yards;
-
coaching a group that wants to create or
improve wildlife habitat at school, community space, or a place of
business; or
-
educate others about creating wildlife
habitat, for example: doing workshops, writing newspaper articles,
or designing displays for use at community events.
Your commitment

Attend all training sessions (30 hours)

Reading and class assignments

Report your volunteer activities to
University of Maine Cooperative Extension

During the year after the training, you
choose how you fulfill your volunteer commitment (30 hours)
