Who can belong?

All boys and girls between the ages 5-18.
4-H is open to everyone, ages 5-18.

What makes 4-H different from other youth organizations?
Perhaps the greatest asset of the 4-H program is its ongoing commitment to helping youth to design their own projects and activities. 4-H stays current, because 4-H projects and activities come from the youth themselves. Today, 4-Hers are compiling portfolios, building web pages, working on violence prevention projects, and delivering HIV/AIDS peer education programs.

How does 4-H meet the needs of today's youth?
4-H provides structured activities in safe places where youth can explore new ideas and skills with adult partners. Whether testing water quality in a local river, teaching respect, caring for an animal, or exploring career options, all 4-H programs focus on learning and allow youth to explore their goals and aspirations.
